I love love love this mask because both avocado and honey are my favorite food! It feels so good and satisfying to put them on the skin, I was always amazed how soft and glowy my skin turn into!

1. Avocado Face Mask

What you need?

Half of the avocado and 1 1/2 tsp of raw honey

What is it good for?

Avocados: Packed with rich vitamin E, healthy fats, and antioxidants, it helps to smoothen and brighten up our skin. Also, Avocados are moisturizing and nourishing because they contain naturally good fats and oils, which include the amazing monounsaturated fatty acids to moisturize our skin.

Honey: Raw Honey helps balance the bacteria on your skin and it is known to healing the acne and calming inflammation. Honey also speeds up the skin cells’ healing processes and that is truly amazing for glowing skin!

Steps for DIY:

  1. Mix the ingredients together in a bowl until it’s smooth (From my experience, this process should be within 3-5 minutes)
  2. Apply to face to 10 – 20 minutes
  3. Remove it with warm water and you’re done!

All I can say is my face feels so refreshed and I feel like it’s more absorbable when I apply the night cream afterwards! So ladies, please try this and you will be amazed!

If you want to address your skin problem more specifically , you can always try some variations!

For Oily skin:

  • avocado
  • Almond oil
  • Lemon Juice

For Pimple/ Acne:

  • Avocado
  • Lemon Juice
  • Nutmeg Powder

Reminder: When I first tried DIY this mask, I use the whole avocado, and turns out I don’t need that much at all for a face! So I guess using half is fine for most of us. I hope these little tips help!

2. Avocado Hair Mask


If you have dry and dull hair like me, you have to try the avocado hair mask! As I’ve mentioned before, avocado is rich in healthy fats and oil so it will be great in moisturising the hair! Nowadays, there are countless avocado masks and oil in the market with a huge mark up so why not DIY ourselves? I’m sure you will love it!

What you need?

1 Avocado, 2 tbs of coconut oil, Aloe Vera and shower cap

What is it good for?

Coconut oil: Coconut oil is extremely nourishing when it comes to the scalp’s health. Packed with rich vitamins and essential fatty acids, it protects and moisturizes our dry scalp and helps our hair grow thicker and longer naturally.

Aloe Vera: Many people may only know that Aloe vera is great for treating the skin but this can promote our hair’s health too! It contains something called proteolytic enzymes and that can repair dead skin cells on the scalp. Aloe Vera is a wonderful natural conditioner to deep conditioning for glowy and smooth hai.r

Steps for DIY:

Step 1: Mix avocado, coconut oil and aloe vera together and keep stirring until seeing a smooth texture

Step 2: Apply it thoroughly on your hair and also near the hair roots (Cover it with the shower cap)

Step 3: Rinse it off and continue your normal washing hair routine and you are done!

If your hair is a bit frizzy and dry, I’m sure you can see the difference immediately. Natural hair care always amazes me every time! I do this once a month but I know many girls are doing this once a week for a more significant result!


So here are the 2 amazing avocado masks I wanted to share with you! I hope you girls will really try it out because DIY face mask and hair mask is so much fun. To be honest, I always feel more fulfilled to recommended DIY skincare products than the big brand products because I love the fact that we are using way less money for great skin! The process of making face masks is always heeling and bring me back to the present moment so this is not laborious for me to do this at all. Despite the fact that every woman is beautiful in their own way, taking care of our skin is definitely an act to show that we love and pay attention to ourselves.
